At Miss Newark USA every competition is a fashion show! You want to represent who you are fashion and personality wise. The required competitions are: Introduction, Spokesmodel, Evening Wear and On stage question.
For each competition you are wearing your best self and confidence. For introduction, all contestants will wear an amazing design by The Print Queen! A woman owned business in Newark NJ. During introduction you introduce yourself to the audience and judges. Be yourself, take your time, and don’t forget to smile.
The next pageant outfit is business attire! Dress up and show up as a business woman! During spokesmodel contestants deliver a speech about a specific topic. Your speech must be engaging, powerful, and passionate. Pant suits, blouse with a skirt, and suit sets are perfect for the spokesmodel competition. Never wear open toe shoes, or over the top jewelry.
Evening wear is a favorite at Miss Newark USA. The gowns contestants wear are always beautiful and show off their personalities so well. All gowns must touch the floor, that is a huge requirement at Miss Newark USA. Make sure you try on a million gowns before you know which one will be perfect for you. The gown may have sequins, beading, have a train, or lace. We recommend solid color gowns at Miss Newark USA.
On stage question is the final required competition! Each contestant is asked an age appropriate question. Contestants answer to the best of their ability. Always answer in a full sentence, and always say thank you once you have finished answering the question.

Hold a fashion show in your living room, with your options! Remember less is always more. You want to make sure your outfit isn’t wearing you. Practice in your suit, and your evening gown. The worse mistake you can make is saving your outfits for pageant day, and then realize the clothes are extremely itchy or they don’t fit.
